Question Best Press

A while back I saw a posting for making your own Best Press with water, vodka & scent (if desired). I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone have the recipe? Please?

I haven't made it but my Mother made me a batch and I love it - half and half and just a drop or two of lavender oil is how she makes it too!

A friend made this using her neighbors vodka she 'borrowed'........wasn't stiff enough for me.....but it was probably not the cheap stuff either .............I think I would do it like pumpkinpatchquilters mother did, a lot stronger for a stiffer texture.

I use 1 cup water and 2 cups vodka and a couple of drops of lavender oil. I love it! .....I mean for starch.....really just for pressing. You do believe me right!?

I don't press or iron much. How do you use the mix? Does it go in the iron or in a spray bottle? And other than smelling good what is the advantage over plain water?
Thanks,
Rodney

This mixture is not a starch...it is strictly for pressing.
