Default Farmer's Market 2013 Block of the Month

I just finished the binding on the block of the month from our lqs (Seven Sister's, Carson City) and I couldn't wait to share it with all of you. It was quite a challenging quilt but I enjoyed every minute of it. The quilt's name is Farmer's Market and the dimensions are 69" x 84". I loved their selection of the fabric the shop picked. It is called Metropolitan Fair by Barbara Brackman for Moda. It was quite difficult for me to keep up since October when my 92 year old mom fell and broke her pelvis in two places but thank goodness I was able to squeeze the time in to finish it and mom is home now and doing much better. As usual, my husband Dale (K & D Creations) quilted it and he chose to put an edge to edge feather and it feel it compliments the quilt but does not take away from the blocks. Also, I went through the pattern and counted the pieces involved in the quilt and there are 1,846 pieces. I was quite shocked when I saw the quantity. I look forward to all your comments.
Thank you,
Karen

Absolutely fabulous quilt. I love it. it certainly looks challenging as you said. You have done a very good job and I am glad your Mum is recovering well now. Best wishes.

Love it! Mixed size blocks are my favorite sampler type quilts. I've got a bunch of blocks finished for one, need more blocks ... some day I'll get to it.
