You know that you are a quilter when you are constantly picking loose threads off your clothes and find them on the floor in your bathroom, and on the sofa, etc. The best ones are when I have to pick loose threads off my DH. LOL.

You know you are a quilter when you stand in line at the supermarket and talk to others in line about the fact that their blouse fabric would be great in a quilt!
You know you are a quilter when every time your phone rings, it is a friend calling to tell you which garage sales have fabric for sale, you find yourself buying clothes that you know will be great in a quilt when you tire of wearing them, you can tell what a fabric is made from just by touching it, and you are a real quilter if you understand that "Done is better than perfect" is a true statement of purpose.
You are a true quilter when you spend two hours on a road trip to deliver Christmas presents, furiously sewing the binding down on one of the quilts to be gifted when you get there!

Look at the tile designs in a restaurant bathroom and think about what a nice quilt design it is!

Have quilters magazines everywhere in house!
Snips of fabrics laying in a pattern formation on your coffee table!
Pins still on your shirts

You may be a quilter if you go to the butcher and ask for a quarter yard of ground beef instead of a quarter pound of ground beef.

Are covered with threads, your DH picks them off your clothes, and you thank him and say:

"Those are my heart strings!"

or

"I come with strings attached!"

I just caught myself trying to do math and kept subtracting .5. Yeah I was thinking in terms of finished and unfinished blocks. Lol. Doesn't work so well with grocery shopping lol.
