Default 45in square rag quilt

Is that big enough for a 3 year old boy???? My kids are all grown and I have no grand kids for reference........thanks!!!!

I think it is big enough for him now but kids grow out of things fast so maybe one more row.

I agree with making it bigger and also make it a rectangle.

It's perfect for a drag along quilt. You can make him another big one for his big boy bed later.

Depends on how you want it used. I think 45" is perfect for babies, but a bit too small for a 3 yo, unless you want him to drag it around with him (oh, I see Tartan just said that. Great minds think alike!) . For beds and forts, I think 60" (or bigger) is better.

I made one for my cats to have on the back of the sofa and made it 39x52. 6x8 squares.

I would never give a quilt any smaller than a twin size to a child. they grow so fast, and need something big enough to curl up in front of the tv. 45 inches would even make a good lap quilt.

Baby quilt battings are 45 x 60. That is a good size.
