flannel and fur

Just finishing up this car-seat sized (26" x 28") travel "blankie" for my coming grand-baby. My DS and DIL have decided not to know the sex of the baby...forgot how hard it is to make "neutral" baby stuff. The "quilted" side is all flannel - and the back is soft as a cloud "fur". Sew cute! Just saw a report this week about the danger of big coats on children in car seats. Apparently it doesn't allow for the carseat belts to be tightened enough in case of accidents. II seems there are new rules all the time. First it was no blankets in the baby beds and now no winter coats in car seats?
