shoe bags....what size????

A lot of people talk about making quilted bags for shoe storage.
can someone please tell me what size to make these bags. thank you

We call these pump bags. I used to suggest to parents of 3to 4 year olds they made the from a garment of clothing. Skirt tee shirt with a picture or pattern on the child loved. The children whose parents made them had no trouble at finding their bag.
