Default How do you keep your pounce from wiping off?

When you guys use pounce to mark your quilts how do you keep if from wiping off? I have used the blue and it stayed on fairly decent. Today I was using the white and it kept rubbing off. I only marked an area about 14" x 28" or so (2 stencils worth) and by time I got half way done so much had rubbed off I had to try to remark it all with a marker... and I no good at free handing these things. I did the marking and then started sewing right away... I don't want to have to stop so often for marking if I don't have to. Any tips?

I don't use the pounce for that reason. I find the thin line Clover chalk works great especially on dark borders. Then I wipe it off and use a damp cloth removes the remainder. DON'T EVER USE EITHER THEIR YELLOW OR BLUE chalk. THAT DOES NOT COME OFF !!

I had the same problem, and all that chalk dust cannot be good for the machine.

I was disappointed with the blue not washing out completely... it washed out like 99% but it seemed to hang on the thread... I washed again and a little more came out but I could still see it ... never tried the yellow. I didn't think about the Clover chalk until after I had already bought the pounce... I may try them later
