    Default band-aid on a piecing boo-boo

After spending a good part of my day piecing this block, with many interruptions along the way, I just couldn't rip it apart upon finding my mistake after the final seam.
Aargh! I had used wing fabric instead of background fabric in one section. So, I made a band-aid, and fused/sewed an applique over the offending zone. I can live with this error and move on. Yet another learning experience.

Shhh, no one will ever know except me and you, thus ends my true confession ;-)

Beautiful hummingbird! I have done the same thing with a paper pieced pattern. Fused the correct colour over the spot and quilting over it.

Great humming bird block! Where did you get the pattern for it? Is it a silver linings original? Once quilted your fused piece will never be noticed. As it is I probably would not have noticed if you didn't post it was a fix.

Love your paper-piecing, Debra K! So very pretty and I don't even know where your mistake might have been!

Feline, I'm doing a BOM by Quilt Art Designs. You can find the pattern on Craftsy. Here is the link to her blog, http://quiltartdesigns.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_11.html

I like your own personal designer's interpretation of the pattern.
