    Default mini quilting practice

A couple of years ago (in my short-lived time in Minnesota) I took a couple of hand piecing classes at a local quilt store. I never finished the whole sampler, but I still had a few of the blocks laying around. The other day I needed a break from piecing so I decided to practice my quilting on one of the blocks. Machine quilted & bound, about 12.5" square. The center was done before I figured out what I was doing...I like to think it's kind of a freeform heart (to make myself feel better about it). I gave it to my grandma and she is going to put a sleeve on the back so she can display it on a frame

Very nice! And it's also nice to just get something done with the older things too
