Not one, but two FW tables
I bought two FW tables today. One came with an extension table, which I've never seen in person before. Does anyone have one(extension table) and is it sturdy enough? It only hooks in two places onto the main table and looks like it really can't handle much weight or the hooks would disengage. I assume it's strong enough for bulk sewing like quilting, but was surprised that it doesn't hook on a bit better onto the table.
I now have one 301 longbed, two 301 shortbed/401/500, and two FW tables. I think I'm set!!
The table on the right looks a lot lighter because of the sun, but the tables are the same.

I'm curious as to what kind of weight you want to put onto the table. You may want to check it by adding weights. Start by putting the (or similar weight) of the machine then add similar heavy weights. Know any one with exercising weights you could borrow? Just add a little at a time. See if it wobbles at all first. You may have to tighten the legs. If those are out of sync that will put stress on the hooks.

Well, my "stuff" when I'm quilting or sewing can add up. I wouldn't expect to be able to stand on it, LOL, but I bet if I pushed on it really hard it might unlatch. I didn't try that, but I wouldn't feel comfortable setting any kind of vintage machine on it, for example. The legs are nice and sturdy. I'm just surprised that the hooks don't somehow lock into the table but just slide on (and in my mind could easily slide off too).
