Default Rusty has a home.

QB member KenZ emailed me and asked if I would use a base he had made. Turns out he had an extra and didn't need it. Knowing that Rusty was homeless he offered it to me.
Since 3/4 size cases are all but impossible to find, I gladly accepted.

Ken's base was exceptionally nice. Made from a many layer laminated wood and finished with a nice hard finish. Not sure what it is, but I like it. He also sent along some self adhesive pads for feet and some felt to use as machine pads.

Here's some pics of Ken's base:

Ken, thanks a bunch. I appreciate it.

What a lovely gift! I love the way the wood shows stripes on the edge. It highlights the machine well.

Baltic birch plywood I think. Nice to work with, no voids or patches. I'm thinking of making something similar to replace the masonite bottom on the 99k i just picked up.
