Default New bag using hexies.

I have been working on this for a while. I had the hexie flimsy done. I added batting and flannel. Quilted it is a wavy stitch.
I found a tutorial by debbie shore. It is not the best tutorial but gave me the idea. If you try it you need to know there is a missing part that she has made another tutorial for the missing part. I watched it many times to get it into my head how it worked. I love the bag and made a few modifications. To make the outside I used the little quilt as the outside piece.Hers calls for 2 outside pieces but it worked fine with the one. It has a zipper and I added an inside pocket for my phone. The hexies go from one side, the bottom and up the other side. The star fabric was the border so it is on both ends. The lining is the paisley fabric. I did a decorative stitch on the paisley to make it a little sturdier. I put ? can't think of what it is called(Like flat cording) in the handles. If I were to make another I would put batting under the paisley fabric.
I love my new bag.

Your bag looks terrific. I love Debbie Shores' tutorials.

She is my kind of sewer. I watched one of her videos touring her sewing studio... her in bare feet and all!
