Default Galveston

We'll be taking a week long vacation/family get together in Galveston starting Saturday, the 12th and would enjoy visiting quilt fabric shops. Need to find out if there are any around. Help!

I haven't been to Galveston in years, but there's a nice shop in LaPorte, called Painted Pony 'n Quilts. Worth the trip!

Look in the phone book when you get there for quilt or fabric stores. You can call them for details of their shops.

I have a quilt shop app and they listed a lot within 30 miles. The closest ones were:
In Galveston: Rose's Pedal and Quilts by the Bay. In Kemah: Homespun Heritage and Sassy Trio. Cactus Quilts is in Texas City. Happy quilt shopping. Houston has a ton of shops and isn't too far. There were also several in League City.

The Painted Pony is awesome! There used to be another one called Quilts by the Bay, but I believe it was destroyed during Hurricane Ike and never reopened.

I think cashs_mom is right about Quilts by the Bay, it was an awesome shop in it's day but Painted Pony is just fabulous!!! It's definitely worth the miles to get there!!! Have fun
