Default Wedding Quilt for my Great Niece

This has been a difficult quilt for me to finish. It's the last quilt my husband saw me working on before he passed away on June 5th. I had all the blocks done and on my design wall. He loved the whole process of quilting and his participation was always being so joyful about the colors, patterns and just how the blocks went together to create the quilts. I really miss him. So it was hard for me to finish this quilt but I knew I had to as it is for my great niece's (Shelby) wedding this August. Shelby has selected purple and grays for their bedroom. The fabric is one of Downton Abbey collections and I just love the colors and patterns. I hope Shelby & her soon to be husband, Toby, love it as much as my late husband did. I only wish he could have seen it finished.

Wonderful wedding quilt. I can imagine how hard it must have been to finish. I'm sure it will be much loved.

I'm sorry for your loss, but you were blessed to have a husband who shared your love of quilting (as does my sweet DH). The quilt is exquisite, and I'm sure your great niece will cherish it always. The label is incredible--would you mind sharing how you made it.

Beautiful quilt and glad your DH got to see it too. So sorry for your loss. Your niece and soon-to-be husband will have a wonderful treasure.
