Default The Perks Of Having A Yard

One of the perks of our new home, besides my newer, larger sewing room, is our fantastic new yard ! The downstairs neighbor is a fantastic landscaper and keeps the yard looking superb. This is awesome for me because it means I can now take photos of my quilts outside in natural lighting and spectacular backgrounds !

These were taken in the early evening, so the lighting made things a bit difficult to capture properly, we are expecting rain tomorrow so I wanted to get some done before that. I am sure I will get better shots once I get used to how the lighting falls at different times of the day here !

This is the wall hanging that is headed to New Hampshire to hang in my Step Grandmothers room at the nursing home.

This is the quilt that I made to match it !

It is large enough for a twin bed , and since I was not sure if she had a hospital bed in her room or not, so I made it shorter than I would usually so there is no bunching up at the foot board. It could always be used to snuggle with in her chair while watching TV or reading if she prefers.

This is our memorial statue for our Miss Gracie that we lost just before we moved. We placed it in the small flower bed in the front yard. It makes me feel better thinking that in some small way she is here with us. My grandparents got it for us as a house warming gift, after I mentioned that I wanted one. It is beyond perfect !

My favorite colors in your quilts. All beautiful. Nice background; enjoy your yard.

Your quilts are beautiful and the photos are great. Actually, my DH photographer prefers that time of day for taking photos. He says the colors and contrast aren't so harsh.
