Default Recycled shirt's Apple core quilt finished!

Well Ladies,
This is my first attempt to machine quilting and the results is pretty awful... The stitches are not the same lengt and the curves (sigh...)
I'm looking forward to take a machine quilting and FMQ class in LQS soon. I hope my skills improve meanwhile I am sticking with handquilting... but the tops are piling up!!!

nevertheless my DH loves that quilt!

Merry quilting and Seasons!!

Love the quilt, and improvement in FMQ will come with practice. It took me a really long time to get to a degree of proficiency, and I am still just a beginner. My problem was trying to quilt on a 50 year old machine. It probably needs a thorough overhaul and it will work OK. But the newer bernina and the Juki need no help, so my fmq is moving right along. It takes practice, practice, practice. I've learned to check the back of my quilting after a minute or two to check the bobbin tension. Hang in there, your quilt look great.

You are to hard on yourself. The quilt is great and the quilting will get better with practice. Thanks for sharing it with us. Mary
