Default Books, websites about borders. Need recommendations

Have you run across any web articles, you tubes or books about borders that are worth reading, buying? I thought about the craftsy class but didn't get good recommendations on that. Thanks

Did you want to make a pieced border?? If so, I have two books in my library that I have found useful. They are both by Patchwork Place. One is called THE BORDER WORKBOOK by Janet Kime and the other is PAINLESS BORDERS by Sally Schneider.

Here's one from Quilter's Cache. http://www.quilterscache.com/B/Borders.html There are 19 different borders.
I'm doing the braided border to go a rug that I am making.

well I am going to contradict the recommendations on the Craftsy borders class you received. I think the Winnie Fleming class was great with lots of examples and the class materials are an excellent resource.

If you're just looking for information on how to construct borders, I'd go with a book or video. I have the Janet Kime book mentioned by ManiacQuilter2 and it's good, but very basic. The complete title is The Border Workbook: Easy Speed-Pieced & Foundation-Pieced Borders.

A more complete reference book that covers both design and construction considerations might be Pieced Borders: The Complete Resource by Judy Martin and Marsha McCloskey but you may have to get it from a library as it's a 1994 book.

If you're primarily looking for advice on how to choose borders that best compliment the body of a quilt, I'd look for a class. You're apt to get more of the design aspect than you'd get elsewhere. Quilt University had a great free class on borders, but that's no longer an option and I know nothing about the Craftsy class.

Thank you. These are all good suggestions. I like the braided border you're making. I might use that for my mantle piece
