Has anyone made the quatrefoil quilt from Missouri Star?

I would love to make this quilt. In the video Jenny uses a layer cake to make the blocks. My question is, at the end she talks about adding the sashing and 2 1/2" squares to form the corner stones. I believe those squares are cut from a layer cake square but she doesn't really say. She also doesn't say how many blocks to make or the size of the finished quilt.
Can anyone help?

I had a question about one of her tutorials on the site---so I asked it in the comment section right under the tutorial. She answered it within a few days.

You make 20 blocks and you need 12 cornerstones. She doesn't say, but it makes sense to cut them from the layer cake squares. The size should be 58x72 plus however wide you make your outside border. So a 6 inch border would make it 70x84.

She gives requirements at 0.54 in video 42 x10" sq, 1.3/4 yard backing/sashing, 2 X 1/2 yard for 4 patch and 2 yards for borders.

I agree with normorecraft. She usually gives the fabric requirements at the beginning of the video. You are paying premium price for Layer Cake which would be a waste of money if used and anyway, usually sashing is a single color or rarely, two colors.

I buy a lot of layer cakes and I don't think they are a waste of money at all. To get the variety of fabric squares that are in a layer cake I'd have to cut twenty different fabrics twice.

It's a beautiful quilt, and might be what I use the layer cakes I got at a great deal from Craftsy this morning for.

I don't normally buy pre cuts, but when I can get a good price, or if it's a line I really love, I do. No better way for me to get a bit of each fabric in the line.

Thanks for all the info. I saw the fabric requirements and have what is called for, she just doesn't say what fabric to use for the cornerstones or how many blocks to make.

I made the Quatrefoil quilt the week the video came out. I've made three quilts since then so I am not sure that I remember everything I did. I did use the same number of blocks that Jenny used. My quilt ended up being 67 1/2" x 80 3/4". I used a 5" finished border. Since I wanted the same fabric for my 4 patches and for the sashing squares, I used yardage for that. I had a number of 10" squares left over and would have made my quilt larger; but I had already made my backing and was in a hurry to get started on another quilt. By the way, I love, love, love that quilt. I hope you will like yours as much as I like mine.
