Default Any quilting suggestions?

Hi there,

I've just finished piecing my second hexie quilt and am now thinking about how to quilt it! I'm kind of stumped at the moment and haven't managed to find anything helpful on Google, so I thought I'd ask for any suggestions on here as someone is sure to have a good idea :-)

I'm probably going to hand quilt it, but I haven't completely ruled out machine quilting! I'm not super at fmq, but I'm always willing to have a go!

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Thanks!

WOW! That is gorgeous! I have no suggestions on how to quilt, but just wanted to say how beautiful your quilt is!

Awesome! I think I might start in the middle of each swirl and SITD down the sides of the hexes. It should emphasize the pattern and I don't think you would need to stitch the cross seams. Boy that must have been hard to keep straight!

Impressive and downright delicious. How big is it? Any idea of how many hours you have in it so far?

first suggestion - tell the dog it is not HIS!!! lol. I think I would hand quilt on each side of the "paths" that swirl through it. I have never seen a Hex quilt like this before - absolutely wonderful!!

Hahaha, it was pretty tricky to keep straight! Particularly after I'd had a couple of months break from it and then tried to get back into it!
No idea on actual hours, but I started it in November. I wish I'd made a note of exactly how long I'd spent on it, would be interesting for sure! It's about 60 x 90 so is perfect for my bed!
Thanks for the suggestion Tartan, I think that would work nicely and wouldn't overpower the design :-)

That is one gorgeous quilt. I love your colors. I would, also, follow the circular pattern of the hexie's. My second choice would be an all-over meander.

That's so beautiful! (Your dog looks quite a bit like ours -- she's beagle/springer spaniel). How large are the individual hexies?
