Default Baby Quilt for my first niece, Elisa

This was a quick project, only three days long, so I'm half ashamed to post it here. But I'm so excited to have my very first niece on my side! (My husband has 16 nieces and nephews!) I quilted her name down the left side of the blocks, one letter per block, then alternated between hearts and daisies for the other blocks. I kept it simple with loops in the multi-colored sashings and interlocking hearts on the piano key borders. For the first time, I didn't use any batting, but the backing is a really soft fuzzy Minke material, so it will be warm and cozy enough. Can't wait to give it to my brother and his wife at Thanksgiving. Baby Elisa is expected sometime around Christmas. Thanks for looking!

It's lovely!! We can appreciate that it was a "quickie" quilt, but someone who does not sew will be so impressed and think it took you months. It's very bright and cheery.

Please never ever be ashamed to post quickie quilts here. They will inspire me. I love to finish things fast and move on, it's my favorite type of project. I have no patience whatsoever and would be unable to tackle a quilt that takes months. Almost from the minute I begin a project, I'm planning the next one.
