Default Harry Potter quilt for favorite (only) grand daughter

About 2 years ago i made my grand daughter what I call 'the quilt from hell'. She loves it because of what i named it. That quilt gave me nothing but trouble, should have been gorgeous, but was anything but. So i saw a Harry Potter panel, know she loves HP, called her and asked her if she wanted a HP quilt and got a very fast and emphatic "Yes!". It's done. Yay. The panel was skewed and I did everything I could to straighten it, but no such luck. So I added a fabric wedge in the first dark border to try to make it look straighter. It kind of worked. She loves ows, so the quilting was owls and the fleece back is owls.

Anyway, here it is!

I think you did splendid job. I hate that panels are so seldom true rectangles.

You succeeded! Congrats. That was a great solution for a skewed panel. Panels are often skewed. I know many a HP fan that would love this quilt. Lucky granddaughter.

You had a great solution for the skewed panel. It is a technique worthy of note. I think your owl back is really cute. Nice quilt for your favorite (only) granddaughter.

I think your quilt looks splendid. You think with all the technology that we have that panels could printed straight !

Great HP quilt and you certainly can't tell it wasn't straight to begin with!
