Default military comfort quilt, just the flimsy

This is for a young man with PTSD. He asked for his company patch and red, white and blue. I aim to please. Smiles. I finished the flimsy top today; will need a few days break before I can do the back and pinning. I am very pleased with how this came out so far.

I couldn't get the whole top in one photo so I have the middle twice then showing the left and right sides. The left is reverse image of the right, except for the scrappy 4 patches. The red blocks chain towards the center of the quilt and the blue towards the outside, but they are scrappy, not matching.

Previously I had posted closeups of the stars. The blocks are finished at 8" and the center is 16" if you want to figure the size.

So good to be back to my quilting!
