Default Elna Supermatic, thread take up removal.

Help, I need to find instructions to remove or adjust the thread take up. one of mine is bent and out of wack. It wants to rise too high on the take up so that the wheel can not complete a revolution. When the cover is off the fly wheel turns just fine.

Hehe, like the car mechanic says when you complain about noise: Turn up the radio. Leave the cover off

But seriously. I haven't started on my Supermatic yet, but will when the new friction pulley get here. I found a lot of stuff in the file section at the Yahoo group Elna Heirloom Sewing Machines, but haven't read through it all. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/...tment%20Files/

I wish it were that simple, but it is the cover to the needle bar take up stuff and it has to be closed to thread through the tension. I am going to the link to study more thanks.
