Default Hi!

Hi everyone.
I love to make scrap quilts and have been quilting nearly 20 years.
I also love Featherweights, I have 3 of them.

Welcome from Southern California! Lucky you with three of them. I always have wanted one but now, I do most of my quilting at home.

I also prefer scrap quilts, but I don't have any featherweights. I do have my mom's 1949 Singer treadle, which I learned to sew on but haven't done anything with since she died in 2004! And welcome from the beautiful mountains of western NC. By the way, where do you live?

Another warm welcome from Southern California! I had 3 FW's - thought my daughters would like to have one to keep on hand for mending. They wouldn't even take them home - so I kept one for me, gave one to my sister and the other to my niece. My sister quilts and belongs to a Guild - she wasn't familiar with FW's and so kept it as a back-up machine until a lady in her guild was bragging about her little FW. She has been taking it ever since. My niece has the machine my mother bought at Walmart years ago in case she needed to mend something, so I knew she would need a reliable machine. Mine sits on my shelf for the time being and just looks cute. (I need to take it down and sew with it a bit just to keep it primed and ready.

Welcome from another scrappy featherweight owner! Hope you'll check out our thread called "Scrappy Quilt Show", for some inspiration. You may want to add some photos of your own scrappies to inspire us!

Welcome from Southern California. No featherweights here, but I do run a treadle.
