Default Does anybody know who ??

Does anyone recognize this fabric? I am always picking up the orphan blocks that are left at the senior center. There are only four 5" squares cut in half. I would like to find more to make a comfort quilt for a wheelchair person but I have looked on eBay and quiltshops.com and found nothing. Otherwise, I could probably make a set of two placemats with what I have. Thanks!

Sorry, can't help. But I think those half square triangles paired with a white or blue would be a great center of a quilt.

I think so, too. Blue may be better because of spills and stuff.

My first thought when I saw this was Keepsake Calico at Joann's. I have a pink dotted one that is similar in the lines of darks to lights dots.

You could mix them with blue or white. Have you tried a Google search?

Based on NanaSews' information, I found it online at Joanne's:
http://www.joann.com/keepsake-calico.../14055602.html

(And those Keepsake Calicos are on sale for 50% off!)

Edit: I just saw that there is limited quantity and that you might get more than one cut of the fabric to total your yardage, also that there is a minimum purchase of 3 yards. If you really want the fabric, might be a good idea to order right away before it sells out.

I am totally SHOCKED. I never dreamed it was a JAF fabric because of the feel of the fabric and I had never seen it in the premium section (that is now where I shop). Thanks, I will order some tonight. I checked everywhere including Google and found nothing. Thank you so very much!

Just found out if is out of stock!

Keepsake Calicos are not in the Premium Section of JAF. They are JAF's own line. In the JAF Superstores by me, they have a whole 4-level rack dedicated just to Keepsake Calico fabrics. I have had mixed results with the fabrics. They tend to be a looser weave than what I find at LQS and are a bit more prone to fraying, but I'm perfectly happy to use the on family quilts. They are lovely fabrics that hold up well in the wash. They are not quite as luxurious feeling after they've been through the first wash. It's amazing what the right chemicals can do to improve the look of a fabric. But I made many happy little quilts with them before I discovered the joys of LQS fabrics. I'm sure they will make a lovely lap quilt for some lucky recipient!
