Does anyone know how to get rust out of the carpet? The came today to put in a new water heater. Unfortunately it is in a closet in the dinning room. Some of the rusty water has gotten on the cream colored carpet.

I would try using a rust remover...little tiny amounts and dab it on the rust stains... and then rinse and dab with clear water... try and not let it get down into the padding.

Yes I did get the whink rust and stain remover. It seemed to help. Then I shampooed the area.

Carbona makes a rust remover, too - it stinks, but gets the stains out.

CLR!!!! Can you get that in the states? It's in a sliver/grey bottle and it works miracles!
