Default He Doesn't Know It's For Him

For about three weeks Jim has watched me hand quilt this Box Squares. Yesterday, I finished putting on the binding, again in his eyesight. I will quietly put it away and he will see it again on December 25th.

I love this pattern but have a question. Is this accomplished with Y seams? Do you have the name of the name of the pattern? Thanks.

No Y seams involved. Easy as pie. There are three little squares in the middle and two strips on the sides. Mine are 2 1/2 inch squares and 2 1/2 x 6 1/2 inch strips. The pattern is called Box Squares. And it can pretty well be done in any size you like.
