Default Tree of Life progress

I am working on a Tree of Life art quilt, here is recent progress. It started as a table runner that inspired me. It measures 16 inches wide by 38 1/2 inches long. I am hand embellishing with beads, stones, crystals and sequins. There will be butterflies.

I was gifted some beads and discovered my needles would not fit thru the holes, even my narrowest needles. I went to a bead shop and discovered beading needles, who knew. It is a long flexible needle, extra skinny and a challenge to thread. I went to buy a needle threader, but you still need to poke the thin wire thru a very narrow opening. I really miss the eyesight of my youth.

Here is some of my handwork, which is self taught, so I have lots of room for improvement.

This is turning out fantastic! I love how you are embellishing it. The bead work really gives another dimension of beauty to this piece.

Grandkids or younger friends are good for threading needles. Have them thread several for you

Stunning work...you are gifted with your talent for placing beads! I absolutely love the butterflies ...are they machine embroidered? They add the perfect touch to your art quilt.
