Default Modified Carpenter's Square - The Celtic Carpenter

I modified the Carpenters square block to create this in 4 colors. A friend of mine lost her husband two years ago and recently has been fighting an illness. I wanted to create something Celtic but bright and cheerful. I hope to deliver it this week. I don't know if anyone else has seen this design offered for sale. If they have I would like to know what it is called. I'm calling it The Celtic Carpenter

The colors really pop when they are in the sun,

I did a all over meander for the quilting.

The back is a beige flannel sheet, it's warm but still light. Best thing is other than the batting, it was all in my stash, I hope it will make her smile.

Thanks for looking.

I really like that pattern. It seems like I have seen it recently or one very similar. Maybe in one of the quilting magazines I subscribe to...At any rate yours turned out really, really nice :-)

I am sure your friend will enjoy using your lovely quilt. Thank you for the idea of using a flannel sheet for the background fabric.

Copycat the background fabric is normal quilting cotton, the backing fabric is the flannel sheet. But I think it would be interesting to use flannel for the yellow to give it a two tone feel, thank you for the idea.
