Default Dresden Plate for dining table

I want to make a Dresden plate design for my round kitchen table. I need it to be 60 inches when completed. What size ruler do I need? And suggestions where to purchase it.

You really don't need a ruler. Use a piece of freezer paper or other paper, cut it half of the size you need, or if you want, cut it full size. Then fold it in half, then in a quarter size. Take a tape measure such as a cloth one and put it on edge, measuring the quarter. Then divide that by how big you want the dresden plate blades, say 2". From the point of the fold at the center fold, measure out towards the edge. You will then have an idea how to do it. You will later cut the center out to use for the center of the finished piece. Another way you could do it is by using a child's protractor. It has measurements on it and you can divide that up. It will have like 20 degrees, 40 degrees, etc. Be careful at the fold lines because you would use 1/2 of what it shows. In other words, you only want half of a dresden blade on the fold so the other half is on the other side. I hope you understand this. If you need further help, let me know and I will draw it out.

Amazon has a 15 degree 24" long Dresden plate ruler. It will give you about 48" to 50" diameter Dresden plate. https://www.amazon.com/Creative-Grid.../dp/B008B004RU Hopefully this will help.
