Default Finally broke through my dry spell!

I had a very bad dry spell of 8 months. Didn't even want to look at fabric or my machine. Then one day I decided I had to make something for Christmas. The Christmas tree is based on a picture I saw on pinterest. My blocks are 4" finished and it measures 72 x 76. This was totally finished in a week. The other quilt was a kit I bought from Connecting Threads 6 years ago! Finished the top (80 x 80) very quickly, then took almost 6 years to hand quilt it. The picture doesn't do it justice. It is very bright: blues, golds, yellows, oranges, greenss. Both are for my daughter and son-in-law.

Oh! I love both of these. The tree is delightful, but I really really love the first pattern! Is there a pattern name available that I could search for?

They both came out great!

I am glad you are over your dry spell. I've had several, and they are no fun. When they are done, I feel like I wasted time.

Okay so stuff just had to percolate--within and without yourself. We all have dry spells and that is okay too because when we return to our passion, it can be with a new eye and a renewed interest. I am glad that you are back. Hugs!
