treddle machine

I found a decent Singer Redeye on Craigslist near my home. Cabinet was used for an accessory table by the seller, as she didn't sew. It was her grandma's. The machine was locked up due to scum build up. But I cleaned her up and she sews like a dream. Very little to break on them. I'm sure you'll find a good one.

Also, I see a lot of nice sewing machines being sold in Florida on Shopgoodwill.com. You might be able to find one local to you that you can pick up instead of getting it shipped.
Be sure to let us know when you score and also we looooove pictures!

I just got a 1935 treadle machine at a garage sale for $40. All it needed was oiling, a belt, which we’ve ordered, and a bobbin wheel, which we also have ordered. Everything seems to work so far. Here’s hoping that the belt and all will work. It came with the cabinet, attachments, a drawer full of buttons, wooden thread spools, part of an old pair of glasses. Bobbins came with it, too.
Forgot to say it’s a Singer.
