Default Singer 301

A friend of mine found this in a nearby Goodwill for $40, in the original case with the original manual, correct 301 attachments including a ZZer and a button holer. She has several other 301s, and, knowing I've been looking for one, gave me a very, very good deal on it.

It needed a little cleaning, but not much. From the lack of carbon dust inside the motor it didn't appear to be used much. It is fast and smooth. Oddly enough it had a 12x1 round shank Singer needle clamped in it, not sure how well that worked for whomever put it there.

Very nice. Would be interesting to know how a 12x1 came to be in it.

Ooooh! A mocha and white 301! I have my mom's mocha 301 and I'd love to have a mocha and white. Its on my estate sale searching list. Very nice. Especially with the ZZ'er and buttonholer.
