I started an afghan today. This might take longer than planned.. I have never crocheted with a cat in the house before. I had to chain 246 and I had to count it 4 times. I did get through three rows, but was attacked three times too!

My cat seems to be in his glory. With Christmas decorations, and now YARN!! He's a pain.

maybe if you make him (Or Her) his own plaything, make a chain 30 or so stitches long and wiggle it with your feet while you are crocheting, maybe he will leave you alone?

oh my... that's funny and sad at the same time. Maybe it'll tire of it after a while and leave you and the yarn alone.

Had to laugh. I have a cat with a yarn fetish. She will dig to get in to a plastic sack (where my latest project is) in order to get the yarn ball & take off with it.

she doesn't eat the yarn, just takes off with it....

Try it with TWO cats!!! LOl Yes, I make a ball of yarn for them to play with. It doesn't stop them from trying to get to my yarn but it slows them down.

HINT: When make an afghan that requires that many chains.....every 50 chains, put a tiny gold safety pin in the chain....at 50th chain, 100th chain, etc. it sure beats having to count and recount so many!!!
