I'm sure that this question has come up before but I am asking it a little differently.

How hard is it to get used to a non regulated quilting machine. Cost is a big factor for me.

I don't think it will be all that difficult. It is all what you get used to. You may want to make sure that the machine can be upgraded if you ever decide you want a regulator.

I sew for year the boys clothes when they were little, I had no problems well only human err, but that wasent quilting.

It's an individual thing. Some pick it up easily, some never do.
