I requested these blocks in a swap to make a Hugs & Kisses Quilt. The block is called X-quisite. I wanted it made in a 9" 9-patch. Every other block is turned 90 degrees.

No, it was easy. Here's a link to the way my blocks were made: http://www.azpatch.com/bom/bom2009/08aug09/bom09aug.htm
They are really just 3.5" squares with the top right and lower left corner having a 2" square sewed over it, snipped & flipped. Make 9 of those units and sew together just line a traditional 9 patch. Kind of mindless if you've got all your pieces cut and laying by the sewing machine.
