Do you also have a need to organize pieces while piecing? Say you have a bunch of 2 3/8" sqs and some 2 1/2" sqs or rectangles that are 3 5/7" X 3 7/8", or are doing several blocks and want to have all the pieces for one block together. Don't spend a bunch of money on trays!! These are from Marie Callender's Meat Lasagna which, luckily is absolutely delicious. My grandson and I share one every Thursday night. These are just the right size, have a lip for easy picking up or for sticking a label on (eg: an arrow to mark the long side of a rectangle) and they stack wonderfully. I've given about 2 doz to various crafting friends and they also swear by them!

FYI: this lasagna comes in 3 sizes so invite your friends!

Long live lasagna!

Thanks Kitsie, I guess we could use any frozen food container and how about the plastic containers when you buy lunch meat that has the lids with them? I think I'll reassign them for use in my quilt room. With the lids they're stackable :-)

Terryl, yes, anything would do. For my use I don't want lids while I'm piecing - just grab and sew! If I'm going to leave them till next day I stack them and put an empty on top.
