I first heard the expression "socks on the floor syndrome" from esqmommy
It's the annoying thing(s) that a significant person does that irritate one a lot!
(I, of course, am nearly perfect! :?)
For example, my DH folds his clothes neatly and puts them at the FOOT of the bed - so I trip over them when I make the bed.
(We won't discuss what I do with MY clothes)
One of the other things he does that I REALLY hate - he smokes a cigarette right before coming to bed. Now, there's a turn-off.

Mine is shoes. I keep my shoes in my sewing area cause i spend a lot of time there. My 16 yr old DD thinks her shoes go under the comp desk, the furniture or in the hallway. she never wears the same pair so i take them and throw them at her bedroom door when she is in there. Little man keeps his shoes where mine are. Everyone else keeps their shoes in their rooms so why can't she.

When DH rinses out the ONE dish he used, and puts it in the drying rack, when there is already a stack of dirty dishes.
Makes as much sense to me as washing one sock when there is a whole load of dirty ones to wash.

DH puts paper trash on the sink 6 inches from the trash can. Why not just put it in the trash can!!
My biggest pet peeve is he sits in his wheelchair in the kitchen doorway all the time. I have to ask him to move to get through the door. Annoys me no end!!

My SO is anal about his laundry being washed. NOT put away, just washed. He'll wash socks and underwear (his) and nothing else. The amount would fit in a shoe box....and there is dirty laundry overflowing the hamper!
When he washes his jeans and t-shirts, he puts them in the dryer and never takes them out. He gets up in the morning and turns the dryer on to get the wrinkles out. Then again the next morning. DRIVES ME CRAZY!

Two laundry hampers, side by side.
One filled with towels, the other for dark clothes.
Towels in with the dark clothes.
Dark clothes in with the towels.
Wrapping papers on the counter, 2 feet from the garbage can.
Empty containers put back as if they were not empty, you don't know you don't have it until you need to use it.
This list goes on but from what I have read the items are common.

Here is what I do to kids that leave junk all over the house....
I pick it up and put it in my box. If they want it back, they must pay 50 cents and item to get it. Anything not ransomed within 3 months is donated to the Salvation Army.
I AM THE MEANEST MOMMY IN THE WORLD!!
