Your "messups" are minor. I love the colors you chose. They would really make a striking quilt! I love this block.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I had fun picking out the colors, I tried to follow the instructions on how to figure out the amount of fabric i needed to make into a whole quilt, and of course i just can't figure those charts out...  so the ladies at the fabric shop helped me figure it out, i also asked them to give me an extra metre to make sure i had enough in case of some mistakes. I'm really excited to make this one, of course i still have alot to catch up on in my other projects that i'm doing online. I am also taking another quilt class doing with embroidery, which i start next Monday. Hope i'm feeling better by then, and that the weather keeps up being nice and no more snow storms, for i have to drive approx. 1 1/2 hrs to class. Once i'm feeling better i think i'll set myself to make at least two or three blocks once a week this way i can do my other ufo's. I'm really looking forward to seeing your interwoven boms ladies and gents. Happy sewing :D

Hi marieg, sure i can do that for you and anyone else who might be interested. This is what the lady at the shop wrote on paper.

6 blocks x 7 blocks = 42 blocks.
color 1. .9m 14 strips of 2 3/8"
color 2. color 3. color 4 same as color 1.
color 5- 5.8 m
14 strips x7" 25 10 strips @ 2 3/8"
4 strips x 3 1/2"
5 strips x 4 1/4"
32 strips x 2"
1- 10 of 2 3/8" I got 1.5m of colors 1 to 4 and 6m of color 5. remember i asked her to give me just a bit extra fabric for mistakes etc. I also like to have extra to if i don't use it all to get my stash up. I don't have much of a stash yet. When i seen the stash some of you ladies have i just moan of envy  One day i say one day i will have a wonderful stash to....

When i saw this i was really disheartened. I had been looking forward to the second block of the month,
I printed everything off and made a start yesterday morning at 9.15. By 1pm my first attempt at this was in the bin. Called my Mum for some advice. She came over and helped show me where i was going wrong, which was basically everywhere.

I then sat and started from scratch and below is the end result. This one is also going in the bin. But just to show you that i at least tried i have put the picture up.

I found this WAY too difficult for a beginner like me. This would probably be something i would have done in a year or so, after i worked my way through all the easy ones.

Needless to say, i wont be trying to do this one again.

Donna xxx

p.s. Not much lines up either lol
