My favorite quilting Christmas gifts are really counted cross stitch. I do my favorite blocks about 32 x 32 stitches, make a note of the block names in a frame around the design and sometimes add a date.
OR use plastic canvas in quilt block designs to make coasters.
Or simple one block tablecloths. I've got a wreath design l like and it's fairly simple.
