Hi all, I'm Kelly from Australia. I started patchwork & quilting 3 years ago after seeing a simple strip quilt on the cover of better homes & gardens. After seeing the price of this lap rug ran into the hundreds, I was determined that I could make this for a fraction of the cost and there began my ultimate love of quilting. My family thought I was nuts when I wanted to go out and buy a sewing machine, as I had never sewn anything before, but my willingness to learn this fantastic art sees me still going strong years later. I credit the wonderful people who share their experience and are willing to guide others on their journey. I would not be where I am today without these internet crafters. So to you all, a big thank you for this wonderful board and I hope I can contribute in the future.
