Have copied out the directions for the table topper, am sewing or going to try to do some this morning. I have studied the pattern and trying to figure how it could expanded into a quilt. Maybe it will come to me as I sew it together, I know there must be a way. Has anyone tried to make it bigger? to quilt size that is.

Make the pattern for the table topper then use it as a center medallion. Add borders, plain or pieced, until you reach the desired size. Hope this gives you some ideas.

The part about this I am confused with, the free pattern I found, only has the spinning star part and not the rest of it, not sure how to join up more fabric pieces to make it work. Have to think about this one. Thanks, lovely quilts with borders you directed me to, they are so nice and bright!

The spinning star is not square, that is the problem. Or it is a problem for me, anyways.

I will try and upload a pic of the quilt I have. I've made some changes to the pattern. I adjusted it because it was sooooo big!!! It is suppose to be for a queen but as you can see even with the adjustments it's still huge on my queen bed.
