If you ordered the cutting blades online from Harbor Freight, I just received an e-mail from them saying my blades have been shipped w/ a tracking number to boot!

So if your store does not have them..........you can order them online!

Can't wait

I just received an email, too! In fact, a few days ago I received a postcard in the mail stating that unless I returned half of it stating that I still wanted my order, they would cancel it!! Now I'm anxious to see if the blades actually arrive!!!

I went to a local harbor freight store to see if they had any blades for sale..the sales girl told me they were no longer going to carry them in the store only on line, don't know if that was only that store or others too, but the price on line went up a little, still worth buying ....

I have to wonder if she knew what she was talking about -
I'm not saying she doesn't, just wondering -
because these blades they carry are intended for the carpet cutters,
and the carpet cutters are used by contractors and home improvement people --
who are not going to be real thrilled to find out they cannot run down to the local Harbor Freight and get their replacement blades whenever they need them,
rather that they will have to go online and order in advance.
Not going to happen, to my way of thinking.
We'll just have to wait and see how it goes.

I went to my local freight harbor store and had to buy the whole set up for the three blades in there. I bought three sets. It was considerably less than buying the blades meant for quilting cutters.
Here is what I figured out. The blades are thicker and do not stay as sharp as long. True that they are less money, but not as good as the real thing.
Sorry to be the bearer of the bad news.

I'm still using the first one of the blades I bought, still sharp. I run through even the "expensive" blade pretty fast, though.
So I'm as pleased with these HF blades as with the "brand name" blades.
