I wanted to just say thank you all so much for your guys helps and prayers. After much prayer and sewing like a speed racer, I was able to get the quilt finished late tuesday night and tossed it into the was and when I got up in the morning threw it into the dryer. I ended up making a comfort quilt. I prayed long and hard about the quilt and felt that I should wait and make a quilt with my sil and I ended up giving it to her step-father. He was having a really hard time with he death and felt that at the moment it would do more good going to him. I am attaching pics of the quilt that I was able to make. Thank God that I had a quilt top most of the way done so that I could do this. Thank you all so much for your comments and your prayers. They are very much appreciated and needed. (I didn't know it at the time, but my sil was playing amazing grace on her violin at the funeral I am glad that I decided to go with this panel for the backing)

What a stunning quilt. I believe it will give lots of comfort. I especially like the block passages on the back.

Sure sounds like God was guiding you through making this quilt. It came out wonderful and will be very well loved.

You prayed and you sought what you should do, and I firmly believe this gentleman will love this quilt. You did an awesome job!

Very nice quilt....I love the backing. How meaningful that your sil was playing her violin. The step-dad....I just feel so badly for him. I hope the quilt can bring him some comfort.
