I used to work on these when I was sitting at the hospital or watching tv ...they took months to make the first one is blue I made it first

this was my first pillow

these pics are not too good but you can at least see the Idea the ribbon embroidery and just plain embroidery is what holds the pillow together

this is how I basted the piecing

Finished piece she framed it and it hangs in her Victorian fram home in central Texas

all hand stitched ...... stretched it was beautiful .... this was made in 2004

Oh I love that, it has a nice vintage feel. I would really like to see a bigger pic of your avatar pillow also.

will put the crazy quilted pillow on after dinner I gave it to my sister ...it has pics of the women of my mothers side of the family all at or around 19 years of age ....... I thought she needed it to remember what strong stock she came from .... tough women rtun in my family

Gorgeous- I can see you have a lot of time into these! I plan to do some ribbon embroidery after I retire in a few years. Thanks for sharing- you are an inspiration!
