I struggled with what pattern to do and settled on the Irish Chain.
I had never made one before, was pretty easy.
I think it came out nice!
I embroidered the name and date on it.
Just too bad it won't make it for the wedding, oh well....I already sent a card with a note saying that the gift will be there later.
I hope they like it. The colors that they chose on the websites they registered for (for bedroom items) were browns, tans and creamy colors. I thought this off white and rusty brown would be nice.
I still have to make a label for it.
Will post that once it's done.

The embroidery I did for it.

It is by far perfect. If you look closely you will see the mistakes. Well, not really mistakes, just a few areas where the blocks didn't match up exactly the way they were supposed to. But, I'm happy with it and I'm sure they will be too. I know he will, but not sure about her. Never met her, but was told by his mother she is a nice little girl. She's only 18, just turned 18. Long story about marriage, no, she's not pregnant. lol
I'm also making them each a lap quilt in their favorite colors. She like orange and he likes blue. I will also include the book...What Do I Do Now That Mom Is Gone. It's a great book for any girl or boy that moves out for the first time away from mom and dad. There's also a What Do I Do Now That Dad Is Gone. Both books have great recipes and such in them. They show how to boil water, how to sew a button, hammer a nail and things of that sort. Great books! My oldest has one that a friend of ours gave her. She LOVES it!

Ok, I just searched Amazon for the book and can't find it.
Will have to call Lauren and ask her EXACTLY what the name of the book is and who is the author. UGH!

    Thanks Ania!

I'm sure this has been asked before and I probably asked it, but what pattern is that quilt in your avatar?

They are going to love it. I just love Irish Chains. One of these days I'll make one.
