another good substitute is spagetti squash. add your spagetti sauce to it and its just like eating spagetti. and its low carb.

I can't wait to try the slaw, that sounds fantastic.

I am on Weight Watchers as well as being borderline diabetic so this will help me. My sugars have dropped a bunch since starting this eating program. :D

I am diabetic and glad to hear that brocoli slaw works good as a substitute for pasta. I will definitly use it the next time I want spaghetti. I live alone, too, so do not always cook at home meals.

I love this idea> We use spaghetti squash with meat sauces. I also use the broccoli slaw with sugar fee or lite lemon yogurt to make a very low cal slaw.

Another great substitute for spaghetti.....cut zucchini lenghtwise & slice into strips & gently stir fry to desired tenderness. We enjoy ours more crisp tender. Then serve w/ sauce, meatballs, etc. Yummy! And you don't feel deprived.

It is in the produce department, usually at the end of the bags of salad. If you don't see it, ask. I love using this produce. It is inexpensive and I don't have to cut up anything. I like quick, good tasting meals.
