My poor daughter has had to be so patient... She eloped nearly 2.5 years ago and I promised her a quilt. Then she told me that her bed is a king [ugh]. After the promise, I've moved twice. I finally got to start this quilt in February. Admittedly, it is a simple pattern, but I don't work that fast anymore. After cutting and sewing the snowball and 9-patch blocks, I was putting them together to realize that I cut the snowballs wrong! Well, it was too late and expensive to start over, so I proceeded. She is not a quilter and probably won't realize my error. This was my first attempt at a Seminole diamonds border. Now, in order to quilt it, I have to get my frame and quilting machine set up. However, I can't do that until I finish installing the floors. I hope to take it to her in person this summer when I travel to NY state.
