Embroidery machine!

I bought a embroidery machine today! It is used and has the smallest hoop size, but that is prefect to find out if I really like doing it. It also came with a lot of embroidery thread, no stabilizer though. I didn't have enough time to run to the store so no playing for me tonight! I'll read the manual and start downloading some free designs. It is a Brother 270D two years old. I'm excited!

You can always use a coffee filter or a used dryer sheet to practice

Yeah, I don't have either one of those either. Though I could go get them....the grocery store is open. Hmm.

Ah! I have plenty of those! Thanks for the ideas. I think I might go try the paper towels!

When I got n=mine I couldn't wait to try it so I didn't use anything the first time it you stretch you fabric taunt you may bet a few practice ones in. but the paper towel idea is a good one!

if u use heavy enough fabric and they are for practice... u dont need stabilizer....

I had the exact same thoughts as you did a year ago! I bought that same machine! I love it :) LOVE IT! Although I am kinda toying with getting something bigger. I use it as a regular sewing machine too. Works like a champ.
