I really need to buy tone on tones in all the basic colors. I used up everything. My local quilt shop has lots of it but it is about $10 a yard. Where online can I find tone on tones like but not necessarily the brand names Moda Marbles or Fossil Fern. I know there are many other brands that make beautiful tone on tone and I am definitely interested in those too. $ and quality are the main factors. Also I am looking for gender neutral tone on tones, so no flowers but spots, vines and mottled are great.

Fusions by Kaufman is my favorite tonal.

Many stores sell it. Go to http://www.quiltshops.com and type in Fusions in the search bar. Then you will be directed to any of the stores in the network that carry it. You can comparison shop for best price.

Marshall's Dry Goods:

I have never bought online from them, but I have been in their store and they have excellent prices/fabric.

You're talking white on white, red on red etc... right? The hardest one to get anymore is black on black. We have several others. If you're interested send me a private message and I'll get back to you.

One of my favorite fabric sellers - has tons of tone-on-tone fabrics:
http://stores.ebay.com/QUILT-UNIQUE-FABRICS-AND-GIFTS Great prices, no inflated shipping costs and always very fast service.

I've bought a lot at fabric.com - sign up for their newsletters and get discounts by email.

Another really good seller is www.whittlesfabrics.com - huge selection, discounts and very fast service.

I find black on black more abundant now than they have ever been before. I love them!!

As far as good tonal lines, check out Andover Fabrics Itsy Bits line.
